Home / Explaining Protection Goals in Occupational Safety
Protection goals provide orientation for the selection and evaluation of occupational safety measures.

Protection goals are a central concept in occupational safety. They describe the states to be achieved to ensure the health and safety of employees. Yet in practice they are often perceived as abstract and rarely linked to concrete measures. FUTUROSALUD supports companies in formulating protection goals clearly and using them as practical guidelines in daily work.

Typical protection goals relate to avoiding accidents, protection from hazardous substances, reducing physical and psychological loads or ensuring ergonomic working conditions. FUTUROSALUD recommends linking them directly with examples from daily operations. In Risk assessments and Training, protection goals can serve as a common thread. Protection goal catalogues can be stored in the FUTUROSALUD ASI Manager and linked to risk assessments and training. When protection goals are formulated clearly and used consistently, they greatly facilitate communication in occupational safety.
